Lunchtime Closure Change - From Monday 1st September 2025 the practice will be closed daily from 12.30pm until 1.30pm. This will replace the current 12pm-1pm. We will still be able to deal with any emergencies via the phone during this time. If your call is deemed not urgent, you will be asked to call back when we reopen again at 1.30pm..

Monday 15th September is a Scottish Public Holiday

The practice will be closed on this date. Please ensure you have enough medication to allow for this closure. If you require urgent medical attention that cannot wait until we reopen on Tuesday 16th September, please contact NHS24 on 111. For any life threatening medical emergency, please call 999.

Many of our local pharmacies will also be closed on this date. The following pharmacies will be open -

Carewise Pharmacy (Polwarth Gardens) - 9am-6pm
Lindsay & Gilmour Pharmacy (Slateford Road) - 9am-5.30pm (Closed between 1pm and 1.30pm)
Avante Pharmacy (Westfield Road) - 9am-6pm
Boots (St James Crescent) - 9am-8pm
Boots (Princes Street) - 9am-7pm

If you have a medical problem which can not wait until the surgery reopens you should telephone NHS24 on 111. On calling NHS24 you may be offered advice by a nurse or doctor and if necessary they may ask you to attend one of their emergency clinics or they will visit you at home if you are unable to get to one of the clinics. This service should only be used for things that can not wait until we reopen. Please remember to always dial 999 in the event of a life threatening emergency.
